There is both humility and wisdom in the way these stories of indigenous practices and beliefs are told that make them feel expansive, welcoming, and inclusive. The sense of interconnectedness between the Earth and the people who inhabit it is seen not just as the means to heal the damage done, but also a two elements of continuous cycle that constantly feeds each other when they are in tune.

2017. Almost as good as his first book. This one goes into more detail about the Andean ceremonial practices and the beliefs behind them. Fascinating, but not as easily applicable to me as a member of a Western civilization. Still, there is much wisdom here. For example, his ideas about the complimentary nature of opposites could be helpfully applied to the U.S. political scene.
